2023-2024 Ram 1500 recalled in Australia

The fault could result in a loss of vehicle control, according to the recall notice.

American Special Vehicles has recalled 5916 examples of its 2023 to 2024 Ram 1500, citing a potential fault with the software in the vehicle’s anti-lock braking system.

The affected vehicles are stamped 2023 to 2024 ‘DT’ models.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to a software issue with the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) may fail. This may result in a loss of vehicle control.

“A loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
