Seen few YouTube videos of walk through entire new terminal area, before and after security/passport check. It is comprehensive overhaul of both terminals, terminal 1 still looks like it is small regional airport terminal in a 3rd world country, but updated 2nd terminal is light years ahead, not sure much can be done with terminal 1 tbh. Terminal 2 looks good, there’s loads of work that needs doing. There are loads of shops which is nice to see, but I kind of wonder if anyone shops in these places at all, I never do when I travel. I would never buy expensive suit or a shoes at the airport, my laptop backpack and traveling bag are already full, carrying extra stuff is just not something i’d do. Anyhow, airport needs loads of work internally to be completed, but as it, it is respectable upgrade over what was before. Restaurants are overpriced too, 1640 dinars for a simple sandwich and piece of apple pie.
Anyhow, it’ll be ok when all is done.
