Cyberattack disrupts Seattle-Tacoma Airport internal systems

A suspected cyberattack disrupted internal systems at Washington’s Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) for a third day on August 26, 2024. 

Operations at the airport have been disrupted since August 24, 2024, with SEA revealing that the airport was “experiencing an internet and web systems outage, which is impacting some systems”. 

Widespread internet outage continued into August 25 and 26, 2024, affecting several airport systems such as website, information screens, email systems, and phone systems.
