ESPN seems to always be in a state of change, constantly hiring and firing talent to comment on the wide world of sports.

Right now, they are apparently looking at a former NBA champion to help them discuss basketball.

According to Andrew Marchand, via NBACentral, ESPN is “showing interest” in Hall of Famer and three-time champion Dwyane Wade.

Wade’s career has more than enough experience and success to make him a perfect candidate for a position on national television.

He was a 13-time All-Star, the scoring champion in 2008-09, All-Star MVP in 2009-10, and also Finals MVP in 2006.

Because of his hard work and accomplishments, he is not only a Hall of Famer but also a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.

In the years since retirement, Wade has stayed in the public eye in multiple ways.

He has been on numerous podcasts, hosted TV shows, and has participated in many discussions about sports on multiple networks.

Most recently, Wade sat courtside during basketball games at the Paris Olympics.

His commentary for NBC went over very well with fans and earned him many rave reviews.

That is one of the reasons why ESPN is intrigued by Wade: he knows the game and is also a natural on television.

But he could be a costly hire because of his name recognition and NBA career.

ESPN is trying to build a reliable, impressive roster of talent who can call games and give opinions for years to come.

The network has been changing a lot lately but the addition of Wade could mark the beginning of a successful and long-lasting chapter.
