As the latest Marriott Bonvoy Global promotion was just winding up last week it’s time to look back on this promotion to see how lucrative it was for me and how well our readers did with this campaign.
Marriott Bonvoy members were able to register for this campaign and earn double elite nights as well as an additional 1,000 bonus points per night spend at Marriott properties and this could be played quite lucrative.
Especially lower priced stays were able to really profit from this campaign as the bonus points were a flat 1,000 per night rather than a certain extra percentage of the base points earned (based on the room rate).

This was quite a substantial promotion as it ran for almost three months, during which members were able to rack up additional elite qualifying nights as well as points for each night (award stays not counting for this).
Whenever a promotion winds down, I like to look in the rearview mirror to see how profitable it has been for me, and during this Marriott spring promotion, I was personally able to rack up an ok number of extra nights and points myself:
I managed to stay eight nights at Marriott Hotels during that time, six of which were in Japan and two in Korea. This resulted in an extra 8,000 points and eight bonus Elite Qualifying Nights for my account.
Everything was credited instantly and properly to my account:
My numbers aren’t anything special, I think eight nights are just a small amount and I know people who went really bananas with this promotion, basically sealing Titanium status in the past three months.
So far, Marriott has not announced any new summer promotions. There are individual, targeted promotions for members that are visible in the Promotion Central section of the online account/app if the account was selected.

Conclusion
Marriott’s spring promotion for global participants just ended and all points as well as double elite nights should now have been credited.
I made sure to audit my account and ensure that everything was credited properly this time around. That being said, I consider this probably one of the most worthwhile promotions Marriott has run for a while.
