Italian artist's vision reinterpreted in Song brocade

Qian Xiaoping, a master of the Song brocade, has long pushed the boundaries of this traditional Chinese silk handicraft. Most recently, Qian and her team in China’s eastern Jiangsu Province used ancient weaving techniques to reproduce a series of oil paintings by the Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani.
