PAK vs BAN | Twitter and Richard Kettleborough baffled as Pakistan fielders perfect their ‘Where’s the Ball?’ routine

Date:

‌On the second day of the second Test, Bangladesh was in control with a superb bowling performance. However, half-centuries from Saim Ayub, Shan Masood, and Salman Agha steadied Pakistan’s batting. Despite their efforts, Mehdy Hasan Miraz’s five-wicket haul and Taskin Ahmed’s three-for restricted Pakistan to 274 runs. In response, the Bangladesh openers had a nervy start when Shadman Islam’s catch was hilariously missed by Saud Shakeel.

Shan Masood handed the ball to Mir Hamza for the first over to Shadman. The left arm quick delivered a good-length ball outside the off-stump as the southpaw attempted a drive. But he got an edge as the ball flew to the gully area where Saud Shakeel was stationed. The Karachi-bred batter fumbled thereafter as soon as the red cherry touched his palm. In confusion,  he juggled the ball which then travelled to the third slip and subsequently to the second slip, with all three fielders making a mess of it. The entire Pakistan contingent was left stunned by their fielding mishap. Umpire Richard Kettleborough, who watched the chaos unfold with great concentration seemed equally baffled with the incident. The incident quickly became a topic of discussion on social media, with fans amused by the fielding blunder by Pakistan.
