The PWHL just keeps breaking records.
Saturday’s game at Little Caesar’s Arena in Detroit set the U.S. attendance record for professional women’s hockey with 13,736 in the stands to watch Ottawa take on Boston. Boston won the game 2-1 in the shootout.
This feat is just the latest in the PWHL’s historically successful inaugural season. Just one month ago, it was Toronto and Montreal breaking the all-time record with nearly 20,000 in attendance at Scotiabank Arena for the Battle on Bay Street.
PWHL’s Takeover Weekend continues on Sunday when Toronto and Montreal faceoff again on NHL ice at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
