Youngsta CPT And Shaney Jay Drop ‘DAGGA’ Music Video. If consistency was a man, it would be Youngsta CPT. The rapper has been consecutively dropping new sounds like nobody’s business.
Following the release of his album Dreams Don’t Pay Bills, the rapper is now entertaining his SA hip-hop fans with music videos from the project. Taking to Twitter, Youngsta CPT announced the music video release for the track ‘DAGGA.’
“Started investing in plants… ‘DAGGA’ music video out now!!! https://youtu.be/P6c5-3ODsA4 🎥: @illRowSA prod. by @shaney_jay #DREAMSDONTPAYBILLS.” Wrote Youngsta CPT.
The Kaapstad rapper has kept his fans on the edge throughout the year thanks to the gifted Hip Hop sensation. He has consistently produced successful singles and music videos, making him one of SA Hip Hop’s most reliable hitmakers.
Building up to the release of DAGGA, YoungstaCpt teased the video for his collaboration a few days ago. He did not, however, divulge the precise release date. The rapper then announced the release of the video by posting a picture of himself in a marijuana-growing greenhouse.
The track is from the project Dreams Don’t Pay Bills which was produced by Shaney Jay. The song recounts the events behind YoungstaCPT’s entry into the weed-selling business. It’s a complex tale that involves moving to Hillbrow and in which YoungstaCPT mentions MarazA, with plenty of sights of the drugs in the accompanying video.
YoungstaCPT can be seen rapping in the background of a police truck as he describes being detained because of his investment. The rapper has also featured in the track Tekky with Raf Don. The rappers revealed that the song is about appreciating the sneaker culture in Capetown.
“Youngsta and I wanted to find a way to connect with people from different cultural backgrounds, races and classes and this was the perfect way to do that because of the common love and interest in sneakers, which also inspired the title of the song by using the colloquial term Tekky,” said Raf Don.
