The 2023-24 NBA regular season has officially come to an end, with the stage being set for the upcoming NBA playoffs, with some of the best teams in the league battling it out for a chance to lift the Larry O’Brien Trophy when it is all said and done.
One team that is looking about as complete as any in the NBA right now, with the start of the playoffs right around the corner, is the Boston Celtics, who have the top seed in the Eastern Conference and finished the regular season with 64 wins.
Although the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets are getting a lot of buzz as being the favorite to win it all again, the Celtics are formidable on both ends of the basketball floor and that could prove to be a distinct advantage in the postseason.
Shams Charania of The Athletic recently appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” and praised Boston ahead of the postseason.
“This is championship or bust for them as well, but they’ve been head and shoulders above every team in the league,” Charania said. “Boston, year in and year out, under the Jayson Tatum era and Jaylen Brown, they’ve been to multiple conference finals. They’ve been to an NBA Finals in 2022. … This, to me, is about as championship or bust as it gets.”

With the Celtics being tied for the most titles in NBA history with the arch-rival Los Angeles Lakers at 17, Boston will have a great chance of winning that elusive 18th title and jumping ahead of the Purple and Gold.
However, it all needs to come together in the postseason to make it happen, and it remains to be seen whether that happens.
