In just one year, Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs has gained the attention of all NBA fans and has shown that he’s one of the best rookies of all time.
Now the question is just how far he can go in the future.
Speaking to “The WAE Show,” via NBACentral, Chicago Bulls star Lonzo Ball heaped serious praise on the young star.
“[Wembanyama] might be the best defensive player we’ve ever seen,” Ball said, adding that the Spurs phenom could be averaging five to six blocks a game soon.
He then went on: “He has a chance to be the best player ever, potentially. I’ll say that right now.”

Ball said that he didn’t pay much attention to Wembanyama before he entered the NBA, but his first match-up against Giannis Antetokounmpo really caught his eye.
It was then that he saw just how special Wembanyama can be.
Ball believes that the Spurs star could end up being the best defensive player the league has ever witnessed and he’s not alone.
There are numerous people who see the potential and power he has shown in just his first year and think the sky is the limit for him.
In just one season, Wembanyama has improved his already-miraculous skills, led the league in blocks, been dominant on defense, and even enhanced his offensive power too.
With his size, his youth, and his determination, Wembanyama could be a Hall of Fame defensive monster in just a few years.
It has been a very long time since the league has been so blown away by a rookie and the best news of all is that Wembanyama is just getting started.
